Grammys fashion re-cap!

If you know me at all, you know that the first thing I love is music. The second thing I love is fashion. That being said, the Grammys and the American Music Awards are practically important life events in my world.
Now, I'm not one to completely outright criticize the looks that people choose to go with at these events (unless it's utterly awkward and just plain gross, ahem, GaGa- a MEAT dress, really??) because everyone has their own style and I understand that. But I definitely have my faves and then looks that I'm not so crazy about, which I would like to share with you:

Katy Perry - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

To me, Katy Perry is sort of a hit and miss at awards shows. Either she is wearing something I hate, or something I absolutely love. I wasn't really a huge, huge fan of the dress, but what I did really love is the hair she chose with the dress. I love how she always rocks crazy, out there hair colors. This turquoise color is a new one for her and I love it!

Adele - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

Adele usually doesn't "wow" me with her fashion choices either, but I absolutely loved her look on Sunday night. Simple, beautiful, and totally classy!

Carrie Underwood - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

Carrie Underwood is again, not someone I am crazy about when it comes to music OR fashion, but she looked absolutely stunning! I love the dress, the clutch, the earrings, the hair, everything. So pretty!

Rihanna - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

So I was really afraid that my girl Rihanna was going to hop onto the carpet in something completely raunchy and just unattractive, which she didn't do! Yay! I know that some people think the plunging neckline on this dress was a little too provocative, but I thought it was just enough. Love everything about this look.

Jessie J - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

Being a British star, I wasn't even sure Jessie J would be in attendance at the Grammys, but she was and she was looking flawless! When I got a glimpse of her on the carpet I was definitely freaking out. What a beautiful woman!

Bruno Mars - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

I didn't expect anything less from Bruno Mars, honestly. This guy has got to be one of the classiest men in all of Hollywood. His tunes are dangerously infectious, his personality will always keep you laughing, and his looks, well, look at him, he's gorgeous!

Taylor Swift - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

...and finally, my FAVORITE look of the whole night. Now, everytime I see Taylor Swift at an awards show, she's in very free-flowing, simple, girl-next-door dresses so when I saw her in this on Sunday night, I literally had to catch my breath. She looked absolutely, positively STUNNING in this and she is definitely not that young teenage girl anymore! She's all grown up and rocked my favorite look of the whole night.

A few bonuses-

Look I disliked the most:

Fergie - Grammys 2012 Red Carpet

Okay. Fergie is hot. I know. But I could not, for the life of me, figure out why everyone was so in love with this get-up? First of all, the whole lingerie see-through thing she has going on is just not classy or attractive to me at all. Second, if you ARE going to do that whole thing, why the ORANGE NEON?? Sorry, this is just not for me. I am just simply not a fan of this.

A weird look I weirdly loved:

I love Deadmau5. Both his music and his antics are pretty darn captivating. The fact that he wore Skrillex's ACTUAL phone number on his shirt on the red carpet was literally the funniest thing ever I've probably ever seen at the Grammys.

Most "awww"-worthy look of the night:

Sophia Grace Brownlee (left) and her cousin Rosie McClelland hit the red carpet at Sunday's Grammy Awards

If you are an 'Ellen' watcher, you know Rosie and Sophia Grace very well. The two little princesses got quite the view count on a viral video of the two of them singing (well, Sophia singing and Rosie, just, hangin' really) "Superbass" by Nicki Minaj. Ellen brought them over from England to be on her show and the rest is history! Check out it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7hTAp6KrGY

Well, that's all for now, folks! I'd love to hear what you thought, if you disagreed or agreed with any of my choices, or think there is something important I might have left out!
